Transtelephonic Pacemaker Monitoring is the routine testing of implanted pacemakers from the convenience of the patient’s home, using a standard telephone. It is designed to supplement periodic visits to the physician’s office and to provide early detection of device-related complications. Transtelephonic monitoring is recommended as part of a comprehensive and cost-effective pacemaker patient management program.

   always available to speak with patients and take a pacemaker test, for routine follow-up or symptomatic events.
• The physician orders the service and specifies notification parameters for the practice or for an individual 
   patient. Philips will immediately contact the physician any time an emergency or life-threatening abnormality is
   discovered.
