Anticoagulation Patient Self
Testing (INR)

Philips Remote Cardiac Services’ INR@Home Monitoring Service provides the ability for patients to test INR from their home or any other location, eliminating the need to drive to the clinic or laboratory. Self-testing provides a weekly view of INR levels for those on long term anticoagulation therapy.

How the Service Works
• Medicare will support weekly testing for patients with Mechanical Heart Valves, Atrial Fibrillation, Deep Venous
  Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism.
• Patients must have been anticoagulated for at least three months prior to enrollment on our service.
• Patients must undergo a face-to-face educational program on anticoagulation management and the use of the INR
testing device prior to its use in the home.
• Self-testing with the device is limited to a frequency of once per week.
