The rising volume of patients and the expanded indications for implanted devices has created a challenge in managing Implanted Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) patients.  Philips Remote Cardiac Services brings the convenience and efficiency of attended remote monitoring to your Medtronic CareLink® Network and St. Jude Medical Housecall Plus™ and Merlin.net™ Patient Care Network patients.

Philips’ ICD monitoring service provides support to enroll your patients and retrieve the tests from the internet or directly from the patient for Housecall Plus.  Our highly trained technicians will triage each test and provide clinically appropriate, customized alert notification to support timely and informed patient management. Remote ICD monitoring frees up valuable clinic time that can be spent on direct patient care and programming, rather than on routine device interrogation.

• Physician orders the service and specifies notification parameters.
• A comprehensive report summary is prepared promptly so that patient treatment decisions can be made. 
   Information is triaged throughout the monitoring period to ensure timely physician notification of
   events warranting immediate attention.

• Philips Remote Cardiac Services’ ICD monitoring service is available 24-hours, 7 days a week. 
   Our staff is always available to speak with patients if questions arise and to review test transmissions.
• Our professional technical staff is CCT certified and/or Certified Cardiac Device Specialists-Allied Professionals, 
   with a dedicated customer service team for physicians, staff and patients.
• We use a multi-level quality assurance program for the review of each test to ensure the highest levels of accuracy.
• Reports are triaged, summarized and posted onto our secure eManagement online report system, available from
   any Internet accessible location.
• A user-friendly transmitter is provided on-loan to the patient, at no charge.
• Customized special instructions are available for post-shock patient care
